Looking for something new to take to weekend barbecues? Try this recipe for a tasty dish that won’t break the bank. The key is to buy fried tofu, which can be found at local grocery stores.      



  • ¼ cup low-sodium shoyu
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp. dried chili flakes
  • 1 package deep fried tofu, cubed
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped green onion


Drain tofu, pat dry with a paper towel, and cube. 

In a medium bowl, combine shoyu, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and dried chili flakes. Add tofu and toss gently. Sprinkle with green onion. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
