creamy golden gravy

Just because you’re vegan doesn’t mean you have to miss out on Thanksgiving gravy. Here’s a tasty gravy to drizzle over your holiday entrees.

Shop for tahini and brown rice flour at any health food store. 



  • 14 1/2 oz. can low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp. reduced-sodium shoyu
  • 2 Tbsp. tahini
  • 1/4 cup brown rice flour
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Dash of hot chili sauce (optional)

In a medium saucepan, combine broth, shoyu, and tahini. Whisk in brown rice flour and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and smooth. Season with pepper and hot sauce. Makes about 2 cups.
