Halloween kicks off a season of festive treats. But instead of reaching for candy, kick the holiday off with some new tasty traditions. Just a handful of ingredients and some creativity is all that it takes!
Round up the little ghouls and try bringing these three treats to life. But don’t stop there. Experiment with other ingredients and create new monster mashup recipes.

HALLOWEEN GRILLS

Ingredients

•    1 apple (red or green)
•    1/2 cup peanut butter
•    1/4 cup vanilla yogurt covered raisins

Instructions

Wash the apple and pat dry. Cut apples into 8 pieces using an apple corer. Spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter onto a side of each slice. Line the peanut butter side of the slice with yogurt covered raisins. Place another peanut butter apple slice on top to complete the Halloween Grill.

APPLE SPIDERS

Ingredients

•    1 apple (red or green)
•    1/2 cup peanut butter
•    1/2 cup pretzel sticks
•    1 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Wash the apple and pat dry. Slice the apple into 1/2 inch thick circles. Spread a teaspoon of peanut butter onto each apple circle. Place 8 pretzel sticks (4 on each side) on the peanut butter to create the spider legs. Place another apple slice on top of the pretzel sticks. Place 2 mini chocolate chips on the top apple slice to create the spider eyes. Feel free to use some peanut butter as adhesive.

HALLOWEEN FRUIT KABOBS

Ingredients

•    1 cantaloupe or 2 oranges (any orange colored fruit)
•    1 cup black grapes or blackberries

Instructions

Wash all fruits and pat dry. If using cantaloupe, cut it into cubes. If using oranges, peel them and then pull them apart into slices. If using black grapes, remove its stems. Place the fruits on wooden skewers in alternating colors.
