Bring the whole family to the 28th Annual Halawa Xeriscape Garden Open House and Unthirsty Plant Sale. This free event is the perfect opportunity to learn about xeriscaping—an innovative and creative way to conserve water through efficient landscaping, resulting in reduced outdoor water consumption which will lower your water bill.
Attendees can choose from a variety of exotic, less-thirsty and native plants from FOHXG and local nurseries at moderate prices. Early admission for FOHXG members at 8:30 am. The event will also feature free Xeriscape workshops by master gardeners and botanical experts, a free compost giveaway, a display of succulents and cacti, keiki activities, guided garden tours, ono food, and much more! You and your family will enjoy a fun-filled day at the Plant Sale while gaining valuable insights on how to conserve water outdoors and save money on your water bill.
Proceeds will help to support educational programs and classes at the Halawa Xeriscape Garden. For more information on the Plant Sale or xeriscaping, please call the BWS Communications Office at 748-5041 or visit www.boardofwatersupply.com.
